Finally, Software to Eliminate the ‘Black Box’ of Wholesale Compliance

Wine industry’s first wholesale compliance check creates unprecedented control & visibility

Boulder, Colo.—ShipCompliant Wholesale was announced to a sold-out crowd at ShipCompliant’s fourth annual Direct Shipping Seminar & Users Conference last week. ShipCompliant Wholesale’s innovative technology offers the industry’s first wholesale compliance check.

“When we surveyed the industry about the challenges of wholesale compliance, the most common frustration was the lack of visibility and control,” said Jeff Carroll, Director of Product Management. “It became clear immediately that a comprehensive solution that was easy to use would turn the black box of wholesale compliance management into an administrative task that allows wineries to focus on marketing and selling their wines effectively, especially in this down economy.”

The wholesale compliance check analyzes every invoice against a set of more than 20 different rule types to ensure that every product is properly registered, renewals and revisions are up to date, licenses are valid, product prices are consistent with what has been posted in price posting states, and product limits have not been exceeded. Seamless integration with government databases makes the setup and management process quick and easy.

“Keeping up with all the licensing and reporting requirements for each state is extremely time consuming,” said Lisa Rhodes, Page Springs Cellars.

ShipCompliant Wholesale features include state rule tracking; distributor and territory management; automated product (brand and label) registrations and renewals; compliance checks; price management; price posting; vintage change, bottle size change, and ABV change product revisions; and web service API access for synchronizing data with wholesale invoice management, inventory, and accounting solutions.

“Our customers have been asking us for a wholesale compliance solution for well over a year,” said Jason Eckenroth, CEO and founder of ShipCompliant. “It was important for us to maintain the 99% customer satisfaction level that we saw with ShipCompliant Direct, so we put in the extra effort and innovation to do it right.”

ShipCompliant Wholesale is available on a first-come, first-served basis as a standalone product or as an add-on module for existing ShipCompliant Direct subscribers.
